RIVERDALE — In an era of high powered, spread offenses, the Dutchtown Bulldogs opened up a can of old school on the Riverdale Raiders, rolling up 502 total yards of offense on a grand total of four different offensive plays, on its way to a 49-28 victory in what was the region opener for both schools.

Dutchtown coach Kevin Jones, coaching against Riverdale coach Terry Herrod — one year removed from being the Bulldogs’ defensive coordinator — called the win a workman like performance.
