I heard the most ridiculous exchange on my car radio last Thursday morning.

The topic was the impending ban on smoking in public, and there were three "regular" people sounding off on the issue. Two were nonsmokers who support the ban, and the third was a smoker who also supported the ban. The two nonsmokers, puffing up with a self-righteousness that was excessive even for someone who was 100 percent in the right, almost tripped over themselves as they pointed out the obvious: Smoking in public is a health risk and less than courteous.
