Firefighters recognized for public service

The Henry County Fire Department is collecting donations, beginning today, for children who have been injured in fires.

Firefighters from the county will be joining their counterparts from more than 100 other fire departments throughout the state in the 22nd annual "Give Burns The Boot" drive. They will don their uniforms and stand in the streets, at local shopping centers, and at area businesses, holding a boot to collect funds.
