Tens of millions of additional Americans are now eligible to receive a booster dose of one of the COVID-19 vaccines, after federal health officials gave the green light late to follow-up doses of the shots made by Moderna and Johnson & Johnson.

ATLANTA — The Georgia Department of Public Health vaccine dashboard reported Friday that more than 4.5 million vaccines have been administered in the state of Georgia.

More than 3 million Georgians have received at least one dose, including 80% of Georgia seniors, according to American Community Survey data.
