Hampton murder suspect killed in Clayton County

The suspect in four killings in a Hampton neighborhood Saturday was killed Sunday afternoon in a shootout with police in Clayton County.

In a press conference Sunday, authorities also released the names of the victims — Scott Leavitt, 67, and his wife Shirley Leavitt, 66, Steve Blizzard, 65, and Ronald Jeffers, 66. Hampton Police Chief James Turner said the Leavitts and Blizzard lived on Dogwood Lakes Drive while Jeffers lived on Dogwood Ridge.
