Henry County Attorney Patrick Jaugstetter presented tax district services during the Board of Commission meeting on Aug. 4.

McDONOUGH — Residents of Henry County and its cities could see changes to their next tax bill.

The Board of Commissioners is poised to approve the creation of four tax districts. The goal is to ensure that taxpayers who live in cities are not paying for duplicated county services such as fire and police. Tax bills will reflect different millage rates for different services. If approved, residents will see the changes on their upcoming bills in September.
