Horror movies offer nothing

I've found myself wondering lately why every time I turn on the television set I see an advertisement for "Jeepers Creepers," "Cabin Fever," "Freddy vs. Jason" or "Texas Chainsaw Massacre." I thought the horror phase ended a long time ago. I thought those B movies were useless and mindless, and no one really watched them – with the exception of squealing teenage girls at a slumber party.
