Louise H. Akins, age 87, of Stockbridge, died Monday, June 27, 2005. She was born in Wrens, Ga. to Alfred D. and Amethia McGahee Hall. Mrs. Akins was a member of Jodeco Baptist Church and a member of the Silver 60's. She taught second grade Vacation Bible School for many years and served with the Auxiliary at Henry Medical Center from 1979 to 1994. Mrs. Akins was a soft spoken, kind and caring lady who was always willing to help others. Some of her favorite things were, strawberry ice cream and coconut cake.

Daughters, Cynthia A. Trammell of Stockbridge, Janice A Pierce of Stockbridge; sister, Lytle H. Sorrell of Stockbridge; grandchildren, Tina P. Chunkleen of Locust Grove, Jenny Figel of Stockbridge, Jeremey E. Ellenburg of Stockbridge; and five great grandchildren survive Mrs. Akins.
