Officials believe 20 to 30 cats killed in fire at pet shelter

Fire rescue crews battled heavy flames at the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. Multiple animals died, and crews were still in the process of accounting for each animal on Sept. 16.

ORLANDO, Florida (WESH) -- Fire rescue crews battled heavy flames at the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando on Conroy Road in Orange County overnight. Multiple animals died, and crews were still in the process of accounting for each animal on Thursday afternoon.

The fire broke out around 10:27 p.m. Wednesday.
