Stay safe handling fireworks this Independence Day

McDONOUGH — Independence Day is coming up, and for many that means barbecues, parties and fireworks to round out the day’s celebrations.

However, due to the pandemic, nearly all professional fireworks shows have been canceled or postponed, leaving many families to plan their own displays.
