McDONOUGH After a Union Grove High School student passed out in class last week, police said they found his grandfathers prescription sleep aid in his backpack.

Mitchell Alexander Allison, 17, of McDonough was in court Friday morning charged with possession of a schedule IV drug. Henry County sheriffs deputies, who work as school resource officers, said Allison became sick Oct. 5 and passed out. Concerned officials searched his backpack and found two prescription sleep aids. Allison reportedly told deputies hed taken them from his grandfather and ingested one during class.
