To the editor:

News reports seldom cover the opinions of the many U.S. troops and their families who question why we went to war in Iraq. Often covered instead are enlistees who say they want to "protect our country" by fighting in that war. Such a far-fetched and ludicrous supposition did not originate with these impressionable youths.
