Football star turned motivational speaker Inky Johnson to speak at Community Bible Church in Stockbridge

Motivational speaker and former University of Tennessee defensive back Inky Johnson will speak at Community Bible Church in Stockbridge at 7 p.m. on Oct. 3.

STOCKBRIDGE — Motivational speaker and former University of Tennessee defensive back Inky Johnson will speak at Community Bible Church in Stockbridge at 7 p.m. on Oct. 17.

A graduate of Crim High School who now lives in Ellenwood, Johnson was a talented football player who played safety for the Tennessee Volunteers. Johnson’s career was cut short in 2006 when he busted the subclavian artery in his chest and tore his shoulder ligaments, resulting in the paralysis of his right arm.
