The popularity of college softball has skyrocketed over the last few years. The energy and play within the sport make it must-watch television.
The increased popularity of the sport was evident earlier this week when Friday’s Game 2 matchup between Georgia and Florida State was elevated from ESPN2 to ESPN. In order to stave off elimination and force a Game 3, Georgia needed to do the little things right. For Georgia to have a chance to win Friday night, the Bulldogs would have to limit free passes and take advantage of runners in scoring position.
