The Locust Grove baseball team’s Class AAAAA state playoff run came to an end Saturday in Cartersville. Cartersville, 29-5, swept a doubleheader 9-2 and 3-2 in the state quarterfinal matchup. Locust Grove, the No. 3 team from Region 2-AAAAA, beat Harris County in the first round and Decatur in the second round. The Wildcats end the 2024 season with a 22-14 record.
