LOVEJOY — Lovejoy’s 28-27 win over Stephenson had more ups and downs than the Georgia Cyclone at Six Flags. Falling behind 14-0 midway through the first quarter, the Wildcats scored four touchdowns to take a two-touchdown lead late in the third quarter, and held on as the Jaguars battled back late.

“We had a couple of hiccups and got behind them,” said coach Edgar Carson. “We’ve been struggling here lately to close out ballgames. We’ve been talking about it all week long, and our team pulled together, kept fighting, and found a way to pull it out.”
