An Atlanta Braves baseball season full of terrible injury luck took another devastating turn Sunday when star outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. was lost for the remainder of 2024.

Acuña suffered an a complete tear of the ACL in his left knee, the Braves announced Sunday after an MRI revealed the damage. The club said a surgery date is pending and the reigning National League MVP will miss the rest of the season.
