Chestatee girls basketball coach Sutton Shirley left nothing to chance in making sure his team was ready to play from the outset in its first-round game of the Class AAAA state tournament against Woodland-Stockbridge.

The fifth-ranked War Eagles, and especially Riley Black, were definitely focused from opening tip to final buzzer in a 75-52 victory Tuesday night at the Lynn Cottrell Center.
