MCDONOUGH — During its Tuesday meeting, the Henry County Board of Commissioners approved a $15.5 million bid for the construction of a recreation center at North Mt. Carmel Park using SPLOST money and impact fees.

The board voted 4-1 to approve the bid with Neat Robinson, Dee Anglyn, Kevin Lewis, and Vivian Thomas voting in favor and Johnny Wilson voting against. Commission Chair Carlotta Harrell was not present for that portion of the meeting.
