STOCKBRIDGE — Without starting quarterback Kenderick Duncan, Stockbridge found a way to pick up a comeback 35-14 victory over Jones County behind backup Gabe McKensize to clinch the Region 4-AAAAA championship Friday night at Stockbridge High School.

After McKensize found Ezzard for a touchdown to begin the game, it was almost a non-issue that Duncan was not under center for the start of the game. That confidence dwindled in the second quarter though, as a punting miscue gave Jones County the ball at the Stockbridge 16-yard line. The Tigers held tough, forcing Jones County backwards. The Greyhounds eventually missed a 48-yard field goal.
