LOCUST GROVE — Luella High School pulled away from Henry County in the second half to claim a 48-34 victory Friday night at Luella high School. The win coupled with losses by North Clayton and Salem gave the Lions the No. 3 seed out of Region 4-AAAA.

The Lions entered the game as favorites to beat the Warhawks of Henry County, who lost 38-0 to North Clayton last week. That conclusion was not the case until late in the fourth quarter as the Warhawks hung around until the end of the game.
