MCDONOUGH — Winter break got off to a great start for local wrestling teams.

Union Grove traveled to the 35th McCallie Invitational (Chattanooga, Tenn.) this weekend and came home with a third-place finish despite bringing just 11 wrestlers in a 14-class tournament. The Wolverines were led by champions Bryson Neace (106) and Justin Ruffin (145), and they scored a team-wide 154 points, just a half-point out of second place.
